Nebraska's Legislative Process

"The Salvation of the State is Watchfulness in the Citizen"  

A Unicameral Legislature [one house legislative body] represents the citizens of Nebraska.  It is unique, one of kind among all 50 states.  Nebraska is divided geographically into 49 legislative districts, with one elected state senator representing each district.  Each Nebraska Legislature consists of two sessions:  an initial session of up to 90 working days in each odd-numbered year, followed by a session of up to 60 working days in the ensuing even-numbered year.
