Nebraska Catholic Conference Mission Statement

The Church has a proper role in the political order and a responsibility to contribute to the public debate on issues having significant moral dimensions.  This role and this responsibility flow from a Gospel mandate, from the Church's moral and social teaching and from Her concern for the common good.

Archdiocese of Omaha    Diocese of Lincoln    Diocese of Grand Island

The three  Roman Catholic Bishops serving in Nebraska developed the structure and operational procedures of the Nebraska Catholic Conference.  The Conference officially began its activities on January 2, 1969.  Since that time, the Conference has served the Church and the community, providing an active presence and voice on many important issues affecting our state and nation.
